I'm an artist working between Fiji and New Zealand.

After growing up in Fiji, I spent decades living abroad before returning to Fiji, where I established my art practice.  My  landscapes and figures are an exploration of memories and ideas where recurrent themes are examinations of self, home/country and the diasporic condition.

I studied Fine Arts in New Zealand and have exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, and have been the recipient of art awards.  I work with charcoal, paints on paper, canvas and wood.

Every artwork I’ve made is often a response to questions I don't hold the answers to. I feel that journey to self-discovery through the work is often what matters most rather than the arrival. But in finally arriving the pleasure I find is seeing how the work over time, stands on its own by being viewed through a prism of our individual responses to it.

And there is something gratifying in that.
